I don't do snow 'til after independence day. Just to avoid it getting too annoying

What are your plans?
We have our usual road trip: Christmas Eve Eve through to first thing Boxing Day at the MIL, then Boxing Day to 28th at my Mum's. Only this year we have the dog, so will have extra distractions.

I finish work Christmas Day morning, so it will be a run home ready to start the dinner preparations and festivities
My daughter is working Christmas Day however, so our proper Christmas will be at my sister's on Boxing Day, and then it will be solo adventuring in the motor home on the 28th for the New Year, finding new roads to run on 😁

We have Christmas Day lunch home alone this year. Quite by accident and for years we really wanted this and it never happened. The last as many years as I can remember we’ve hosted dinner for us & both sets of parents.
So both parents invited us. My husband’s brother & family are over from France (last saw them 2018) so said to my parents not sure of plans may be at J&V’s. My in laws are so easy going and considerate they said have Xmas day with your family and we’ll have you Boxing Day. They get sick of us it’s lovely they have them to themselves. Told my mam ok we can come to you but my brother invited them up there.
So we find ourselves home alone and it feels a bit weird. Without reason I worry what if it’s the last one with them. Esp as I won’t have a Christmas meal with my parents as they go on NY holiday on 29th. Early new year gathering to be arranged.

Our plans are suddenly a bit uncertain. I have covid. I’m pretty sure I’ll be clear before we’re due to head down to see family. We are hoping QP doesn’t get it. We have had Christmas just the 2 of us for the past 2 years and it was lovely and relaxed. I wanted a Christmas with my nephews this year though. We shall see.
