I really don't like Love Actually. It's just a load of sketches strung together.
Work today. Everyone is in the post Christmas slump already. Work tomorrow and then off on holiday with friends. We are contributing homemade tomato soup (from Marigold), cheese (from the local cheese shop) and I'm taking my gorgeous new record player (from Santa) and my old 45's.
Do we need a NYE/NYD thread?

Back from our Christmas adventures, so might be on here a bit more again. Had a nice Christmas, although not what I'd call a classic.
Reading about everyone's days on here, I'm tempted to do my own version using the reduced deals.
Merry Christmas everyone.

Had a lovely long run yesterday rounded my miles up so clocked up 13.62 it was so lovely to have some fresh air after the days of sitting indoors eating and drinking. Hope to get another couple in before the end of the year.

Was making my month and year a round number - itโs thesr ridiculous 5k races that are slightly over that mess up my figures ๐

Drove OH's son and daughter to his mother and sister for buffet last night. Other family members turned up. Had a lovely time chatting around the table. Got home to find out vicious texts had been sent to OH's other daughter by one of the family who had been jolly and chatty to us all an hour earlier *sigh*. (I took them as OH won't have anything to do with his family, stating that they are poisonous. Turns out he's right ).

It's sad when things like that happen...and is one reason why I haven't seen my sister in a very long time. We just don't get along!

A good reminder that, like Christmas, the advertisers' dream picture of smiley jolly happy families where everyone gets along just swell is often a long way from reality, and that we shouldn't feel bad if our own family relationships don't match the "ideal".
