This ^^^ The more times we say this in different ways the better. Rule Zero - Be not on fire. Ever since we saw it in a hackerspace years ago, it has taken prominence in every classroom we taught in. Keep to rule zero and everything else is fixable or forgivable. Sure we had other rules, but those can be developed. |

WILDWatch are live-streaming safari game drives twice a day from 05:00 to 08:00 and 14:30 to 17:30 UK time. They are in Ngala private game reserve which border on the Kruger National Park. In true safari style there are no guarantees of what you’ll see (and often the animals are just lying around). Yesterday afternoon we saw good elephants and lions. Link from here: andbeyond.com or search on youtube. Might be fun for kids. There are ways of asking questions during the broadcast too. |

Lol. This afternoon had a great sighting of wild dogs hunting. Also male lions defending a kill from the females!

Took the kids out geocaching this AM - found both caches (second one just as we were giving up). They were getting properly grumpy at home and on regular route. Will do it again.

Good shout on the geocaching. I might suggest it to QP as he is doing the same dog walk over and over and over.

There's an app. And the stuff is available cheaply on eBay to hide own and make a personal hunt if you wanted.

Another lightbulb moment today - we smash through the school work but we flex to kids feelings - if they want more maths we do that etc. I got a coding book out that we'd never touched (search usborne coding for beginners) and he loved it!. There's lots of free projects at scratch.mit.edu too. |
