Could I have some positive thoughts for Spike please?
I've had to come back to Mom's as one of the carer's hadn't seen Spike for 2 days (and if I am not there they stay indoors) so she went to look and said that he was quite frightened of her which was unusual. He'd apparently not eaten first thing and didn't eat in the afternoon and didn't eat this morning. He has been drinking water and so I called our Vet (goes straight through to the animal hospital) and I was in Manchester so wouldn't have been able to get him anywhere in time today. Called another vet in Kidderminster and they said that they didn't think it was likely to be an emergency (I explained that he and Giz also have arthritis), and if I had some metacam I could give one dose in his food and monitor him.
For love nor money could I get anyone to help me, so I have had to come back to mom's, where he came downstairs and went straight out - that was 4hrs ago and he is never gone that long
I've watched the CCTV footage (we have it in the house due to mom) and he was fine on the 12th, seems to be eating just fine, lying with mom etc. I haven't finished watching it but I almost wonder if he's bumped himself or hurt himself and doesn't want to eat because of that (also there was a 5 inch long deposit in the litter tray and if that's his, no wonder he didn't want to eat!).
Nothing is going right for me at the moment and I really didn't need this too

I hope he shows up soon and that whatever is bothering him is transient. Maybe he ate something dodgy and had a bellyache so went off to hide. ā¤
