Eventually heart failure did for him, but he was seventeen, which is very old for a Persian. Newish cat Tilly also has a murmur the vet says, but it's nothing to worry about according to her (the vet, not Tilly).

sallykate 31 Jan 11:19am, 31 Jan 2024 13,242 posts	0 sallykate Pablo had a heart murmur but it didn't bother him at all, and his eventual demise at 15 and a half wasn't heart-related. Ellie might have one too - vet is not 100% sure as she said sometimes it's just a sign of stress in the vet surgery.
