I agree with that article, Oreo definitely brings his rabbits inside them because it’s somewhere safe to eat them. If he does eat one outside he is constantly looking around to make sure nothing is going to steal his food.

It doesn’t surprise me to learn its a sign of contempt rather than affection

I am sure when they stash corpses behind the sofa, it is for their own later use. When it is in my bedroom, where they do not (usually) sleep, I assume a gift.

It's no coincidence that when I was away for a few days with my neighbour popping in to feed Stripey, he upped his game considerably from the usual mouse to a half eaten rabbit carcass in the spare room. Of particular concern is the way he leaves the paws detached in a separate pile 🤮

I get a random selection of bits to clear up which nearly always includes the stomach and intestines. I’m so glad I’m not grossed out by it.

Ozzy isn’t happy
He’s not a very talkative cat but last night he made noises when I picked him up for a groom and was very vocal this morning
I think he has a sore tummy as he’s sitting in the litter box as if having a pee for ages

Hope Ozzy picks up soon. Could it be a UTI?
