I'm pausing myself as the adductor still doesn't like doing anything lunge-like...doesn't help when I have to demonstrate things (very carefully) when teaching yoga. I needed to this morning as I had a complete newbie to yoga...his first downward dog was very interesting! ;) It's a good start! I'll just work on him in the initial few weeks as his hammies are very tight!

I've already forgotten everything I did this morning so can't answer your question fraggs. The hardest bit for my feet was the balancing on one leg at the end though. My feet/ankles are not keen on balancing.

Day 7 completed.

No down dog today - it's entirely hand to floor free and is all done standing.

I wasn't great at the balances. I toppled at least once in each held pose. Best if you DON'T look at the screen of course. Quad stretch thing is fine if I don't look - but I want to perfect the back leg extended thing cos it looks pretty if done right. :-)

It's a bit boring for the first five mins or so.

Well done Katie ๐Ÿ˜Š

Day 6 was quite tough and the lowering and lifting from boat pose hurt my lower spine (the boney bit) so I put a pillow on the mat to sit on and it felt loads better, and I managed to complete them all ๐Ÿ˜Š

I followed it with day 7 'Stretching' and I'm feeling pretty energised

Yes Sharkie, I was waiting for the session proper to start, but once it did I quite enjoyed it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just finished days 2 and 3 so Iโ€™m a bit behind! I loved day 3. My favourite so far. I actually really enjoy downward facing dogs as I get such a good all over stretch but I appreciate that they must be challenging if you have sore wrists. I tuned out some of her chatter but enjoyed it more than I expected.

I like down dogs too - and anything triangle-ish. I also like anything that involves back extension - like cobras, because I think most of us get hung up on forward bends and neglect back extension.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
In January 2016 fraggle decided to follow Adriene (of Yoga with Adriene fame -only she wasn't 'quite' so famous back then). It was the start of Adriene's second 30 Days of Yoga and fraggle started a thread and asked anyone interested to join in. I did, I completed the 30 days and I got a PB fpr my 60 metres at the end of it so it was certainly not detrimental....

ANYWAY

Fancy joining in with this year's 30 day programme - 'Home'?

Here's the link to Adriene's site, the link for 'Home' is right at the top
