Going from memory here, it looks as if we have lost a couple of drinks stations. I recall one being around 4.5/5.5 miles and also one at Shoreham Port. As I've suggested previously, it might be best to use your own bottle for the first few miles as you will have to wait until 7.5 miles should you miss or be unable to get to the first one.
Some confusion also regarding one listed at mile 16 (Boundary Road). I don't think there has ever been one here and there is no icon on the map.

Members' race pack arrived this morning.
You will be pleased to know that this year's kit bag is quite big (27" x 17.5"). It has a plastic zip - no adhesive strip, although the zip itself is at the bottom of the bag.

There's not any road closures around Preston Park on Saturday (when the Mini Mile takes place) is there?

JJJ is probably the best one to answer this one.
I think the only road closure before Sunday is Marine Parade. When my son has done the mini-mile races, all the surrounding roads remain open. The only thing to bear in mind about Saturday is parking. The parkrun will still go ahead and there will be a steady flow of cars coming and going from mid-morning to late afternoon.

Correct, no road closures round Preston Park on Saturday.
Might not be possible to park inside the park though. There's paid parking on Preston Park Avenue next to the park and free on the roads northwards.

Off to pick up my train tickets shortly, then down to Hassocks to stay overnight.
Have a safe journey, everyone, and a great race on Sunday.

If this was April 2020, I'd be having pre-race nerves right now. As it is... I've no idea when I'm going to run it. My deferal to April 2022 clashes with a two-year delayed family event so looks like I'll be aiming for 2023
Everyone who is running - enjoy it and good luck!

From Brighton marathon Twitter:
“ We would like to apologise to our marathon participants that the course today has measured 568m too long. We are wholly disappointed that this has affected our runners & hope that it hasn’t marred the experience, at what has been a fantastic comeback after event after 18 months.”

Seems the turnaround point at Rottingdean was too far up the hill - hell of a place to extend a marathon course further than needed!
