OK Steve thanks. I won't fret yet! Just watched the Course Preview video. Have you seen it? Goosebumps for sure! It certainly undulates! A couple of sharp downhills, that might be tricky. And obviously the known few hills at Newton and then Heartbreak itself. Eeep! :-) G

It looks seductively appealing, which rarely ends well!

Got a lovely prompt response from BAA to say the flyer is not needed. A pack is coming out in March which together with your ID is all that is required to collect number.

Lots of risk of going out too fast in that course. So many wee downhills to drag you along! :-) G

Good to hear Happyđź‘Ť

Yep, it’s always going to be hard and I’m glad I’ve got a few behind me before this one, which really does look like an obvious heartbreaker. I’d love to be able to soak up the Boylston finishing straight.

I’m clicking through my plan and thoroughly looking forward to it.

I am very jealous.

I have no desire ever to go to the states....other than Boston Marathon really appeals to me.

TRO Staying indoors for February
Good luck all. Fabulous race, unfortunately I did it in 2013 so bigger and more tragic things happened.

I’d love to go back.

You can pre book a bus tour of the route which I’d thoroughly recommend so you know exactly what you will face. We got plenty of useful tips on the tour as well. They take you round the start area etc as well.

Ta TRO, i’d like to do the route tour if time allows - “time spent on reconnaissance is rarely wasted” etc

Similar for me Baz. It’ll almost certainly be a one-off for me, wrt running in the US, which is making the process particularly special.

Need to repost that link Steve. Is it the 2013 bombing? We wore a black ribbon at VMLM which was 1 week after Boston bombing. Horrendous.
