Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Is it the same old situation as previous years that the universal sports coverage doesn't work in the UK? I've loaded the page, but there's nothing to play. So annoying!

Too hot, so I deferred. Going to run Edinburgh instead. I stood on the corner of Boylston, and watched the leaders come in. They were seriously warm!

God that was tough ! 3:49 so my worst time by a bit, don`t care though, really enjoyed the whole day. Great organisation and the crowds were "awesome" ! Would love another go at it in cooler conditions......i`ll be back ! :)

Yes absolutely brutal conditions, it was 85 in the shade, but unfortunately there wasn't much shade, and more like 95 in the sun with not a cloud in the sky, and with a warm tailwind the whole there was little or no breeze to cool you down. So absolutely not a day for running a good time, but as BT says, the crowds were awesome, a real carnival atmosphere and amazing support the entire length of the route with bands, people handing out water, ice, fruit, popsicles etc, spraying the runners with garden hoses, and shouting encouragement the entire way. It really made a big difference. Fantastic, and an event that takes over the the entire city. The medical tent was like the Battle of the Somme at the end, and quite a few people hospitalised. In summary, hurt like hell at the time, but that medal is going in the trophy cupboard as one of the hardest earned and definitely one to remember.

agree with the guys was tough & hot but with great support :) I took on board the advice given the conditions & also with a 5okm in my legs from 48 hours before I took it easy. Toughest course out of the 5 Majors but nothing serious.

Would like a crack in better conditions.
