It's weird. I don't usually bother looking at weather forecasts, cos it will be what it will be. But I went and looked. It's 18 and raining now. But Saturday is 23 and sunny?! 18 and rainy would be fine actually. And the wind looks quite strong but south or even easterly, which would actually help.

By the time I look later this afternoon it will probably be different again though! :-) G

It’s party time on the Boston weather threads Baz. Definitely more optimism than the last couple of days. This is quite a good source:
runweather.com

Summary seems to be a possibility of less rain, warmer temps, lower wind speeds and side winds rather than headwinds. Here’s hoping.

Happy, we’re up in Portsmouth NH for a couple of days, back in Boston on Sat. The weather has been cold but beautiful. I’ve been doing some wonderful running-sightseeing.

I’m deffo up for a Sunday coffee if possible. I’ll send you a Fetch message to get your FB deets.

Excellent Sailorman. Be great to meet up if we can. I did get a shout from claramac saying that she's getting her number Saturday cos expo might be mad on Sunday. So not sure how my time will be on Sunday. But I'm sure it's not beyond the wit of man! My wife has very firm ideas about her plans when on holiday. However, anywhere with food or drink will usually convince her!!

:-B Looks like I might need to remember the sunscreen if it keeps changing that much! :-) G

Everyone survive that? The weather was a bit too hot and humid in the end up for my liking but a great atmosphere and I am glad I ran it. Hamstring injury blew up again at 18 miles, so I crawled up Heartbreak Hill and hobbled home from there. Scraped in just under 3 hours, which I am delighted about under the circumstances.

Well done for getting it home in a nice time jomo, hope you’ve not set yourself back too much.

I had a cracking day and am still buzzing. I thought the event was magnificent.

I did wilt in the heat/humidity though. Not sure you can do much about that when the trickiest bits of the course coincide with the toughest conditions?

I exceeded my expectations on the day with a 3.15.03 - the +03 feels like karma for sneaking in 3.14.54 at Birmingham a couple of years back!

Great times you guys. I had a complete mare! Over 4 hours! Don't mind though, was therr for the experience!

Can't say what it was but I was cramping from 18 miles and could barely move by the end. Very sick too, puked my guts in train station! Ok this morning now though.. Great event and amazing support though. :-) G
