I would happily get my number in the post, turn up on the start line. Run. Then receive no medal or bag of goodies after, just cross the line and head back to the car. Get my time online later on. Bare minimum needed. No prize giving, nothing just avoid contact with people, run and go.

Yes that’s my basic concept too roberto. I envisaged driving down the night before and kipping in my van rather than booking accommodation. I can’t imagine it being a PB attempt for me, just turn up and race.

It is a staggered start in that the mara goes first then the HM a short while later.
Confused the hell out of me last year when a bunch of fast runners started overtaking me 20 mins in to the race!

It's a 200mile drive for me. Havwnt got any accomodation and dont know anyone near by. My plan is the week of it to find some accomodation within a 45 min drive of the start.
It's definitely a PB attempt for me, but may throw off my attempt for 2.45
|

Well I guess if there was a bunch of 2:45 pace we could give it a go for as long as it lasts  looking at recent results it tends to be pretty sparse around that point though.

Because I'm not running I may volunteer again, I'm sure they will do all they can to let it go ahead, it's already been said medals will not be put over heads and t-shirts will be bagged.

I've just sent an email to withdraw - pulled my calf at a race today, and got other plans in the autumn if they postpone to then.
Oh well, not to be, maybe next year !
