Can’t find a thread for this years race so thought I would start one. Loved the race and fetch point last year so planning on doing Boston again this year. Started training before Christmas just got to enter😁 Who else is taking part ? How’s the training going? |

I'm in for my first Boston. Over 2 years since my last marathon, lots of injury last year, and ultras the year before. Am hoping for something in the 3:10 region Not an out and out focused attempt, doing a 6 hour ultra on Saturday !! So cutback week this week, and then an easy week next week. Got one Half entered mid Feb, and thinking of another for mid March - what have you got in way of warm up races planned riggsy ? Not sorted accommodation yet, on the to do list ps For any other Scots thinking of entering, the entry system doesn't recognise your Scottish Athletics membership number and you therefore can't get the £2 discount - if you email the entry system people ( not the race organisers ) then they'll send you a discount code that gives you £2 off ![]() |

So far Gus I have a 10k booked for 9 Feb and then will probably do the Retford half on March 8 with a couple of Parkruns after that. Accommodation wise last year we stayed at a nice static/touring site just outside Boston (10 min drive or so) with a really nice restaurant/cafe in the grounds so will book to stay there again. It was next to the river so had a lovely walk on the Saturday evening before the race. orchardpark.co.uk Good luck with the ultra |

I’m intending to be somewhere near the back. It’s going to be my last marathon and is 7 years since my last one. We’re currently booked into the Premier Inn, but that may change |

Have you heard bad reports about Premier Inn, or spotted a better deal elsewhere ? What's the focus after this HellsBells ? Shorter stuff, longer stuff, cycling, triathlon, putting your feet up ? |

Only heard bad things about the food, but wasn’t planning to eat there anyway, it’s just a bit meh and I was wondering if we could find somewhere a bit more interesting. I don’t run much from May to September as I don’t tolerate warm very well, I’m much happier at 3* than 20 and Mr HB has big plans that will occupy most of the summer - as I’m not sure where I’ll be when, I’m not committing to anything - long term I’d like to get my half time down a bit |

Hello guys *waves* For those who aren't aware, I live in Boston and am happy to answer any questions you may have about anything. There is also a postrace party at mine - details to follow nearer the time. And yes, if you're booked in at the PI - don't eat there! |

And I should add, I'm also hoping to run the full this year - injury permitting!

I'm in too, hoping to be a few minutes quicker than last year.
