Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Ooh. Looking forward to that. I saw a play version of Ivan Denisovitch years ago and always meant to read it. I have The Gulag Archipelago but haven't read it. Thanks Badger :)

I've read Day in the Life too; I'd forgotten until someone mentioned it.

I read it rather than CW when I was young purely because it was shorter.

I had already read your other 3 choices Badger so I'm lucky you went for this one in the end. And my library has a copy so I definitely need to read this now.

Finished Started Early, Took My Dog. Slightly disappointed,I prefer the other non-Jackson Brodie Kate Atkinson books I've read. This one felt a bit chuck everything in and see what sticks. Also, the Barrys and Harrys and Rays and Lens are hard to differentiate. And I always struggle with coincidental comings together, especially when people crash out of woods in front of cars driven by the very person they think they are trying to avoid. Better than some, but not great. 3/5

I often have to keep a written list of characters in books I'm reading. With a page reference to where they first appear.
