Books that I have read this year and enjoyed have been:
The End of the World Running Club - Adrian J Walker The Corrections - Jonathan Frantzen The Calling - Neil Cross (this a book with the Luther character from tv) The Gun Seller - Hugh Laurie
I don't think that any of these are *new* but they do get my thumbs up!
I have also really enjoyed Avenue of Mysteries by John Irving but I this guy but he is an acquired taste to many

Another vote for I am Pilgrim- I told so many people to read it and Jane of them could put it down.

I read I Am Pilgrim in 2014 and it is a great story.
I also read a lot of the books by Tim Weaver (David Raker series), Kerry Wilkinson (DS Jessica Daniel series) and Mark Sennen (DI Charlotte Savage series).
You may have guessed that I like easy read thrillers with central characters
