Just searching back, currently reading A God In Ruins, Atkinson, it was lying around, sort of hated it, getting g to like it now a third of the way through as ot is all going horribly wrong for the people in it. It is no my cup of tea at all, but I like the dissapointment being experienced by tbe main characters.

TBR list is getting long.

Palin's Great Uncle Harry
Fair and Equal Society, Chandler
Fire in Babylon, WI cricket
The Full English, Maconie
A Benaud biography

A couple of Manga series, Black guard and Tokyo Ghoul, plus two other comic books.

Just finished Annihilation which I like reading but was ultimately dissapointing and clap trap.

That's a very short TBR list. Not going to go near my precarious bedside pile.
I'm looking forward to Uncle Harry, but need to read vol. 4 of his diaries first. Same thoughts on Annihilation. interesting , but really weird.

@mk parkrun That's the sort of immediate next to my bed list.. there's others lying around, not to mention 4 back issues of the cricketer...I think Annihilation annoyed me more than anything, because it is so obviously written that there's going to be other stuff, instead of writing A good book.

Just like when I watched the first episode of 24, oh yes, that's fine, but there's going to be loads and it is not quite good enough to sit on my arse in front of it for that length of time.

I think my TBR pile is 20+ books but to be honest I'm probably not going to read some of them as they've been on the pile for too long. Maybe I'll be brutal in the new year and cull some of the older ones!
