Fair enough. It’s a gentle obituary, making the usual ‘extreme version of Carl Hiaasen’ comment and noting the his 26 books genuinely get better. Which makes me a tad fearful about the first one.
Still loving Bad Monkey on Apple TV+ mind.

That's strange as I could read it and I'm not paying for it.
I'm sad to say I'd not heard of him but he sounded like a interesting man

Having read a few reviews, I think I'll give this one a miss. If the local library service had had it (it doesn't), I would have requested it, but am not inclined to pay for something I probably shan't enjoy.

by curious coincidence I'll be re-reading Ancillary Justice soon
it has been 9 years since I first read it, and I am interested to see if it can hold on to the 5-Star rating I gave it back then

Roadkill has arrived.. Still reading A thousand ships so will finish that first.
Also as people talking about Pat Barker who I love. And her book The silence of the girls noticed my local library had it. But when I got there it wasn't there apparently on hold. Popular book so I ordered another copy which is already in transit
