Just finished reading Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruis Zafon. Not my usual fare but it was recommended by my daughter. Delightful reading. Great plot and lovely characterisation. Well worth a read.

Maybe I ought to give that another go. I tried it a few years back after a ringing endorsement from a friend and found it slow and a bit boring. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood at the time.

Nearly finished David Copperfield. All the ends are getting satisfactorily tied up.

Have that on my pile, Columba. Currently having a proper go at Ulysses, a book I first started 32 years ago and have failed to finish at least 3 times. I have a good feeling about this attempt!
