Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Looking good, shame we missed you guys too as we’d thought about heading down Red bank to intercept at Rydal but headed back to our cottage 😢

Carol moving very well. From the snippets I overheard about schedules and comparisons to others she’s moving extremely well, with a continually evolving schedule. I think Simon is to thank for that.

There could be some exciting dot watching this week.

Carol's line down Yoke looks like a good one, setting her up for a much more amenable ascent of Troutbeck Tongue. This is clever work, that descent is truly horrible and there is a enormous cleft half way down that effectively precludes you from traversing left (assuming you are still on your feet). She must have lined her descent up to cut left well before it. Impressive.

General bits of chat at the changeovers we were at pre and post Carol arriving were about the intelligent choices of line being made while out on the fell and slight route changes that were suggested that made it better. I am obsessed with the tracker currently 🤣

We said the same NE when looking at the tracker line.

I don't know much/anything about Carol - is she local to the Lakes and likely to have worked out these alternative lines herself, or will she be relying on her pacers for the best lines ?
