There speaks a man of experience. I have a feeling early Saturday morning might be a good time to do some dot watching.

As it happens, an informant who wishes to remain anonymous has passed me a photo of Carol's waterproof bottoms after her descent of Yoke. Looks like she may have hit one of those rocks.
This adds weight to my theory that it's impossible to stay upright on this descent, summer or winter.

From the pictures I’ve seen those could be held together like SB’s old trousers.

With it being ex forest with lots of tracks there’s no need to take paths and there are good direct routes going in all directions.

Carol currently has 2hrs and a bit to break Paul Tierneys time. She’s just left Barrow so I think that’s out. That leaves her until 19:00 to get to The Moot Hall and beat Steve Birkenshaws time.

I think she'll finish around 4 to 5pm hopefully. Paul Tierney ran with her yesterday afternoon on the Whinlatter fells to make sure she didn't beat his time 😉
