Not wishing to speak out of turn, as there are others on here who know Carol Far Better, but it will be mainly from her. One of her support crew - I’m reluctant to call them pacers as I’ve seen a few finish having worked damn hard to keep up with her on the legs I was at the end of whereas Carol was still smiling away - was praising her choice of route and absolute knowledge of the fells and lines. She’s a grafter and will know it all like the back of her hand. Plus her support crew reads like an amazing role call of athletes too. (Obvs missing NE, Bobs and FF of course!)

Carol has lived in the Lakes for the last couple of years but has run there extensively in ten years or so I've known her. Her knowledge of the lines to take is extremely good but she also has some very experienced heads amongst her support team and she won't be afraid to defer to them, particularly when they are in a better state than her to think clearly.
