Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Phenomenal Who’s going to have a crack at breaking that?

I have to admit having had a bit of of a giggle when Rosehip posted last night. Little did she realise how quickly the question was going to get answered!

Interesting analysis from Stevie B

John Kelly's amazing new Wainwright Round of 5 days 12 hours consisted of roughly 112 hours of moving time and 20 hours of rest at the support points. Compared to the other top 5 he was moving at the speed of Paul and me with rests the same as Sabs and James. t.co

Full tweet contains some simple graphs showing the comparison.

JK's strava trace and times.

It came out further and more vert than he thought at 359 miles and 123,000 ft ( or 37,500m )

Those figures make an interesting comparison with the numbers Stevie B came up with from Memory Map. Steve measure his own route at 519km/35000m and Joss's route at 535km/37000m (359 miles = 577km). It would be interesting to know which is more accurate? Memory Map or Strava's interpretation of John's gpx?

An interesting day ahead as I’m about to try and help out with bagging a few Wainwrights today.
I’ve been promised tea and coffee when I get to the CP. they’d best not be telling lies.
Hope the Fred went tell Tottri.
