The organisers really need to listen before something goes very seriously wrong. The organisation even had elements of good planning and organisation (e.g. by having colour coded start areas) but the delivery on the day was severely lacking!!! I hope they do sort it out because I think Birmingham *should* have a big running event like this. Increasing numbers based on the 'success' of this year though? Who's idea was that then?

I do indeed, I remember a shout from my right saying something about spurs about then, if I'd have had the energy left I'd have shouted abuse back but was being killed by the hill at the time! lol.

Kept me smiling for a few hundred yards mind and took my mind off the pain so I suppose I'll let you off ;)

Like RachE said some of the differences between gun and chip times are shocking. Some of the guys at work running about 2.00 hours have 10 min+ differences equating to hundreds of places.

It DID take the best part of 20 minutes for the last runners to cross the line (apart from the latecomers - some of whom started 55 minutes after the official start time

and likewise there are 2 people at the bottom with finish times of 4hrs 25 who had only a minute between their gun and chip time!! those will be the ones walking from the start then and getting in everybody's way!!! :-o
