Creating a topic to discuss this race. Looking at my calendar for the year ahead and Autumn 2009. This one might be handy for me, seeing as I've mates in the area. There are 46 fetchies signed up for this race, but I can't see a thread for it. So, in the absence of one, can we use this to chat about it? An exciting feature of this year's race, apparently, is that it is also the WORLD HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIP...! See link: daveharte.com Apparently, further details will be posted on Birmingham City Council's website in due course. C |

Yep, its stuck at last year, not even the countdown in operation, lol. Think they took a while sorting it last year as well.

Some information on the race: iaaf.org It seems the IAAF have more information available than the local council. |

Speaking to someone last night actually who knows someone at Birmingham City Council: (apologies if this is old news too) The IAAF poo-pooed last years course cos it a)was not great and b)too hilly for those looking for world records... they've changed the course and they actually know what it is, but waiting for someone to sign some "paperwork" before they reveal it and entries open There is a rumour that it might go out towards / past Bournville, and that if she isn't injured, Paula may well be there. |

Well I am more and more convinced I'll do it. Had intended on saving myself for Cabbage Patch 10 the week after but I reckon I can get both in. If I hve not done it by then it will be a sub 80 attempt. |

Possibly interested in this one, although I am running Bristol and Great North Run in September, and the Cabbage Patch 10.
