Was going to say I couldn't do this one because it clashes with the French St Pol de Leon one I'm hoping to do (which bizarrely enough is closer distance wise to here than Birmingham is), then I saw they'd shunted the dates back 2 weeks to the 11th, which means I could do it, but then I remember that's the day after my wife's bday, so I can't, but then she might want to go back to the Midlands for that weekend, so maybe I can. Who knows?

lol, true indeed. I do have a minimum expected performance but not a target yet ;-)

Your header is going to be very long if everyone asks to have their target listed, might be better to have a link to an article or to the fetch race page.

Yep, the 5 ways end of Broad Street looks a bit run down at the moment (I work near there its naff) but the end near Centenery Sq / Brindleyplace / Canal area is still nice. Should be a good one for post race entertainment :-)

Yeah, you're right SPR. Will do that once the flippin' BHM website gets its act together. LOL.

No panic just yet.

An estimate (I couldn't work out the route through cannon hill park, hence it's short) of the "normal" race is here:
mapmyrun.com

The elite start for the world champs is outside ICC rather than Aston Uni.

Stuart is that an inside info route? If it is the route, I can step out of my house and run it whenever I want :-)

SPR: I have it on pretty good authority (i.e one of my friends at Bham Council forwarded a PDF of the route on to me) that it's the correct route for this years race. I would guess it won't change from that route unless the IAAF decide that it needs altering for some reason.

Boab, if you need a travel partner I might get you down for this one, depending on what marathon I decide on.
Would hopefully be looking for 81-82 mins C75
Cheers
