Stuart, NICE!!! I run at least a small part of the route on EVERY road training run I do. Will just have to make it my longer runs most of the route. Weird feeling to have most the route for major race on your doorstep

Dear Runner As you entered last year's EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon, or have contacted us for information, we want you to be the first to know about this year's event. The EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon 2009, Race Against Climate Change, will take place on Sunday 11th October. There is a new route which starts and finishes in Birmingham city centre and it has been designed to be a faster, flatter course. This year it takes place on the same day as the 18th IAAF World Half Marathon Championships where some of the world's top runners from nearly 50 countries will be running virtually the same route. You could literally be running in the footsteps of these athletes! You can apply online from tomorrow (Wednesday 10th June) and for more information about this year's event, including the new route map, visit www.birminghamhalfmarathon.com. |
