Finally a sub 60 10k event!! :) So it looks good in the official results

Unfortunately Garmin reckoned the course was short, so 1:00:49

So have ticked off sub 60 for an event - now just need to see if can do the same for a gps 10k!

Yep. The farming number goes in your training log. The ‘good’ number goes in your race log. Win-win.

Good running Snail. But your log (and download figures) say 10.01 km? Did you just keep running, past the baffled volunteers, skittling those who'd actually stopped, until it ticked over? ;-)

Seriously, do you think it was short? Can you see if your Garmin has maybe cut corners on the trace? Or, like in an event I did, if a turn really was taken early (my 10K was 400m short)? On one hand, I've adjusted times for known errors. On the other, GPS is not a gold standard.

This thread has been quiet for a while so I thought I'd wake it up. How is everyone doing?
I got a sub 30 5k time at parkrun this morning and I got a 10k time of just under 65 minutes in March, so I'm hoping that I can shave another 5 minutes off when I do the York 10k in August.

A good and realistic target, GimmeMedals.

I'm not expecting to trouble under the hour soon, but my fastest 10K in a ten mile race last Sunday was two minutes inside my only recent 10K race. So, progress. There's a 10K race next week I might have a go at. Mercifully, it's pretty flat, unlike today's parkrun :-o

Still a long way off for me, but I’m working on it.
