Been to a few curry nights with a few of the guys but not recently. I can't recall anything not to like.

Congratulations, I think ;-) I've been in the Stafford one. I've been avoiding them but I did visit the Cumbernauld one last week. Less busy than expected, and only three hand pumps from eight (all with pump clips) on. 89p for a half pint. Bizarre pricing in general.

Nice numbers and resurrection of an old thread!

I've just added Nos. 94 & 95 tonight (Carlisle) since keeping a bit of a half-arsed record.

Yes, TM's political views don't align with mine, but that can be said of close childhood friends also.

Very, very rarely had a bad pint/night out there.

They've long promoted a variety of real ale when other tied estates wouldn't touch it with a bargepole and long before 'craft' became fashionable.

Would definitely miss a high street without a 'Spoons.

Completely believable. Only surprise is that it wasn't sooner.

Services to culture? They mean donation to the Tories. And to the cause of Brexit.

Muttley Jnr worked for them for a short time while waiting to complete the formalities for a more permanent job. He was highly amused that Martin agitated for Brexit while his kitchens were staffed almost exclusively by Poles ... and was then whingeing that he couldn't get the staff for his kitchens because the Poles had gone home because of Brexit!
