As is my habbit I'm sitting in a 'spoons that I not vet visited, killing time before a race. A Beef Burger and a pint of ale seem to be becoming an important part of my pre-race nutrition plan for evening races.

Since the Tumble Inn (Pontypridd) opened in about 2004 I've been keeping to track of which ones I have visited, and today's marks number 265.

After the Fetch mile I was told that their might be other fetchies with an equal devotion to Wetherspoon spotting as to their other sporting achievements...

... so who is willing to admit to visiting one of Timothy Martin's J D Wetherspoon Free Houses?

My pub of choice at home but since most in my town are complete dives, it's the only one I feel comfortable going to.

I try to avoid them if possible. The last time I was in one it took 3 attempts before they brought me an edible burger.

That's rather unfortunate, alpenrose. I'm rather partial to a 'spoon's traditional breakfast. 😜😀 My favourite is the Winter Gardens in Harrogate when I'm in the area.

One of my daughters used to work in 'Spoons in Keswick.

Visited a few 'Spoonsies and have no objection to them, but they're not my favourite.

I share V'rap's view of them although after a really hard parkrun this morning and discovering I had parked right outside a fairly new 'spoons it would not have taken very much for me to go in and have breakfast.....

I'm only on around 25. Find that their burrito is a good post race choice. Sometimes veggie breakfast and pint post parkrun.
