Ooh MM was fab. CodeMasters? It was so simple driving physics but because you were driving kitchens and bedrooms and such it was just so much fun. :-) G

The first time my car fell off a table I couldn't stop giggling. Ditto colliding with cutlery.

It also spawned an enduring meme - "It's time now" - which was how we declared lunch at work for what feels like years.

Micro Machines 2 was better than v3

That might be because I no longer had my player 2 when v3 came out.

If we're doing mists of time stuff, Rollcage and Rollcage Stage 2 (PlayStation racer) were ace, and I still fondly remember Beneath A Steel Sky (point and click RPG).

And Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure (Apogee shareware platformer)

And best mutiplayers ever - Rise of the Triad, Helen and Heretic and Descent! :-) G

All this talk of great racers from way back when and shamefully no mention of Wipeout.

Original was TFH but loved 2097 on PSX and absolutely loved Wipeout Pure on the PSP.

Ah, I loved RotT! Forgot about that one, although was never a multi-player guy.

Apologies for forgetting Wipeout. I can still remember playing the original at an Internet friend's house in Letchworth when I was about 16, listening to the amazing soundtrack and scraping every wall possible. Used to love playing Fusion on VR, but haven't played in too long. Wonder if I've still got my VR legs to cope with the stomach-churning turns!

Did I mention I'm going VR F1 racing on Fri 1 Mar?

vr-simulators.com

I suffer from motion sickness. Hope I don't puke on their shiny machines!

No one else remember Descent on networked PCs? :-) G
