Skyrim on Switch. Comments please? Also - and I may be in the minority here - I really don't get Octopath Traveller II. I expected it to be up my straße and was quite saddened that it isn't. Do I just need to give it more time? |

My overriding opinion of the Switch is that Nintendo should get out of the hardware market and just focus on software - they already missed a trick by not making a mature Pokemon game... Octopath - I played the demo on PS5 and was underwhelmed where I expected to be thrilled. Similarly I dropped out of playing their mobile gacha version "Champions of the Continent". |

The switch is great but if you can play Skyrim in something else then I would. By all accounts it runs pretty well on the switch though with the added bonus of handheld.

With all respect to JamieKai , I’m not going to lug a PS5 and a telly onto an aeroplane any time soon. Or Eurostar or the TGV for that matter. I *want* to like Octopath. I really think I should. |

Oh, that's fair But Nintendo since the Gamecube (which I adored) seem to focus on the gimmicks rather than a decent console - their games remain amazing, but their hardware just lags behind. But totally get that if you only game whilst travelling, Switch and perhaps Steam Deck are currently the only options. Re: OT2, I just don't think you should have to try so hard to love a game. Thinking about my all time and current favourites, they do the hard work for me, I just have the fun (Yes, after all this time I still regularly run back to Hades , and my current play is Nobody Saves The World which is just lovely!) |

I just don't think you should have to try so hard to love a game Nice post (apart from the uncomfortable fact that the Steam Deck is less of a solution than it should be - I miss my old PSP). I'm still horribly nostalgic about a bunch of PSX games that probably stink in the modern context. Tomb Raider in all forms apart from the stupidly hard one (2?). FFVII. Metal Gear Solid. Silent Hill. GT/GT2... Tomb Raider remastered is out on Switch next week I believe. Purchase is alas inevitable. |

Still waiting for Shadow Hearts to get a release on PS+. And Azure Dreams. They're both probably unplayable now, but my early 20s nostalgia needs them. Especially as my friend's son nicked my copies to sell on, along with Tombi. |

Rumours that Microsoft might be coming out with a new hand held? (They said something like "leap forward in tech" in recent announcement, and how would they do that with a new console?) Loving Talos Principle - 50 hours is as long as I've persisted with any game in last 10 years (other than driving, where there is no "goal" except to get better). It's only solving puzzles, and really there are only about 4 different techniques with variations, but I like trying to get my head round them. And the whole existential "what happened? who are we? who are you?" mystery is quite fun, even if ultimately I expect to be disappointed with no actual conclusion or reveal. But who knows!) Thanks for recommendations on here Fetchies! G |

Glad it's landed with you, Happy. I think Puzzle games are at their best when they are essentially simple, but with fiendish puzzles. The Witness is another that I particularly enjoyed - a very picturesque, deserted island filled with a remarkable array of maze puzzles. Never did complete the obelisks.

Oh, and currently playing Dungeon Encounters - a very stripped back JRPG that I picked up for a tenner in the PSN sale. Definitely not one for everyone, but I'm having a lovely, mathsy time
