Happy, sorry meetings all day, all volunteers, occasionally we get someone along for gait analysis, more for us as much as anything. The club forks out for the courses, and I do 2 different groups alternately. We have 2 Tri coaches (Level 3) and 3 of us at level 2, CiRF, plus 4 or 5 CA/LiRFs, not bad, but we run 3 sessions for adults and 2 for juniors.
it just about works out, but when the rota goes astra, or someone doesn stick it in their diary it's a bit messy. I put together a 3 month rota, with roughly wht each group is up too, what has been done in the past, plus FB notices on times/distance paces. Plus the 3 moth roat is up at the local sports centre for all to see...
I'm almost organised
Probably need a bit more info on the club website

Merry Christmas & HappyNewG(rrr)
Crikey and I think our 1 lead (to tell people where to run) and 1 tail runner (to make sure no one falls under a bus) is organised! We're quite a wee club tho! G

I reckon it's all you need really, our problem is the spread of abilites with the adults. Cirencester AC has a bunch of lads at 32-34m for 10k, then a whole bunch at 36-41, then the likes of me up to 45m, then another set up to 50, then all the social runners, so to be fair we need 4-5 coaches for the adults.

Blimey, I'd only be a 'social runner' there then

Maybe I shouldn't have said social, some of them work at it very hard, some like a good natter, which is fine.
For a small town we punch above our weight, no idea why, perhaps it is to do with the fact we have a few fast people, so a few more turn up to train.

How do you all manage to get so many volunteer coaches..? Despite being able to offer runners at our club 50% bursaries for LiRF/CiRF/CA courses I struggle to get any volunteers...

We don't have enough SOD - I was approached and asked whether I'd consider it. We could do with a few more. Mind you, I think we could be more proactive about seeing who'd like to volunteer - there's at least one other runner in my group who has LiRF - having done it of her own bat, who runs a beginner group for another club. I don't think she's ever been approached (and of course she might well say no!)

We have 3 in our club with LiFRW who run with another group but don't take a group, so sad and a waste

We were very short about 4 years ago when I started, we were down to 3, plus 1 for the juniors. The chairman basically stated the fact that if we lose anyone else we won't be able to run sessions. So 4 or5 of us stuck our hands up. We are heading for the sameproblem now, I and one other level 2 are going, so they need a couple of volunteers now.
