LazyDaisy 3 Oct 2:53pm, 3 Oct 2024 40,778 posts	0 LazyDaisy I wish I was in Malaga, I love it there I joined the Thursday group to run with them today, instead of running a route by myself and joining them at the end for coffee. I always used to lead the group, pre-lockdown, but somehow I never got back into the habit and the longer it went on, the more I felt I just wasn't up to running with them anymore (all faster and younger than me.) Anyway for various reasons they suggested I lead the group today - eek! There were a couple of comments along the lines of 'this is a really nice pace for a sociable run' (ie, slower than their usual!) but they all seemed happy and I enjoyed it. It's what I've been missing I think. I probably wouldn't have done 5 miles and I would certainly have walked more. I've agreed to join them again next week when someone else will lead, so it'll be a quicker pace I expect, but I'll try to keep up!

First time in ages I’ve not stopped or walked (apart from toilet - god bless the lassie at boxcar cafe for letting me use the facilities. They don’t usually!) If I’d been on my own, I’d have stopped loads. And it was followed by coffee & cake. Bonus 😁
