Parkrun didn't go to plan, too congested and loads of people starting in the sub 25 min bit who were more like 30 mins so the first 1k was slower than planned and lots of weaving. 2-5k went OK but didn't manage to pull it back. Aim was 23.58 for a club standard but I went through 5k in 24.05 and finished in around 24.20ish. Will have another crack next week at a quieter course. Off to the pub/football this afternoon

PaulaMc 17 Feb 11:18am, 17 Feb 2024 12,606 posts	0 PaulaMc Managed to stick to the plan for a change: ran/walked 3:30/0:30 to, round and partly home from Tonbridge parkrun. Parkrun was partly flooded and extremely muddy so lots of narrow bits and walking bits and stop/starting which suited me just fine. Ran back home via some of the posher bits of Tonbridge (because I took a wrong turn 🙄) but it worked out perfectly because C, on his way home from a lesson, caught up to me just after I hit the 10 mile goal. Now to drink all the tea and contemplate housework.
The Pin Lady 17 Feb 11:30am, 17 Feb 2024 1,454 posts	0 The Pin Lady 9 miles done with a friend. She had 10 miles on her training plan so we met in town and went out on my usual 8 miler with a bit added on at the end. Good to have company.
