Corrah Is there some way you can swap regular walks or car drives for jogs? You have to go to or from X anyway so you just tick on your trainers and pick up the pace a bit. Maybe you shouldn't overthink the prep either and just take short jogs in normal clothes (within reason, of course!) I've also joined a run or walk one mile a day challenge which does not sound much (and some days I have only walked) but |

[sorry, posted too soon...] but it is an incentive to get out the distance is not overwhelming. Over before I know it and nothing to stop me from keeping going. |

Thanks for lovely words - I got a bit teary! - not a great week for me (mental health wise) but managing to keep moving and I’ll stick around here too! Remember the thread training goals: don't cry, don't die. Quite a lot of us breach the first rule but, so far, we've all managed to respect the second. |

Corrah you’re fabulous. As you know i do a lot of local runs on way to doing something else and some exploring walk runs where i get a bit lost. Both work for me x

Morning all ![]() I’ve found the Fetchpoint and WSW games both quite good for recovering lost mojo. If nothing else they give that little extra incentive to just get out the door. And you can walk, run or cycle for both of them. |

I’ve been on or off this thread since about 2011, CK2 and haven’t got near 700 miles in a year yet. I have tried to leave for a number of years, due to a lack of running (affected by injury and lack of mojo), but as you can see, I’m still welcome here. You can’t leave #700threadishotelcalifornia 😁 It’s a horrible time of your to force yourself out for a run if you don’t fancy it, Corrah. Go out for 5 minutes, walk and run, mix it up, listen to music or a funny podcast x |

Thank you lovely thread mates. Truth be told I prefer walking just now. I do try to get out when I can but carting stuff about for classes doesn’t always make it possible to run the journey. I’m on the mile a day group too ITG 🇮🇸 and have failed to hit a mile for 2 days in a row. I’m coaching tonight so will have a bit of a jog. I should run there and back but not liking the cold and dark and am ver wheezy just now. Will have a wee look at my schedule later and actually try to timetable time in to go out, especially in the light if I can manage. |

Now that I’ve decided to go for a run I can’t think where to go.

Go out of the door and turn left, Diogenes. You can make the next decision when you get there ![]() |
