Groundhog
I have booked another race - Farnham Pilgrim Marathon 10th September - which is plenty far enough away to not be intimidating. The February 30 miler though is quite close, but it's an LDWA event so walking is definitely encouraged. My next "event" is not just a parkrun but guide running and training other guide runners at Guildford parkrun. The course there is a bit of a challenge though with all the lower part of the park being sloppy mud. It might be frozen on Saturday though, so that will be an improvement

I went - proper winter clothing - well 2 shirts & a jacket and thick gloves. Gloves and hat came off about half way round. Mix of frozen ground - which was fine to run on, or frosty/icy roads and pavements which wasn't, or lightly melted mud on top of frozen ground, whcih was slipperier than the ice. But bright sun and pleasant if you ignored or could get out of the wind. |

CK2, The last 2 years my target has been 250 miles; this year I am not even setting a target. This is a lovely thread. Sooner or later you may get to meet some of the people on it, for real. In the flesh, I mean. Been for a walk. In walking boots, over snow, under a blue sky with sunshine making everything sparkle. |

Afternoon gonks. I runned earlier, 'twas cold. Am in the studio doing a couple of commissions, but have to do my MOT soon. Eek. Fingers crossed and all that lark.
