Afternoon all. Somehow I managed 14.4 miles today. I knew it would be hard work, even before I went to bed feeling unwell last night, so decided to join the club Sunday morning distance group. Ran 3 miles to meet them, 7 with them and then 4 and a bit more on the way home. Lots of chatting and excellent company, including a beautiful (and beautifully behaved) husky called Vixen. It was one of those days when I'm very grateful that I'm part of a club and have their support.

Bit more than the planned 14 done. Happy with it - slow but steady and I'm feeling much more optimistic about the 20 mile race at the end of the month. Cut off is 4 hours. I might get round in not too much over 4.

I'm disappointed with my run :-( It was going ok until mile 5 and then my knee 'went funny' again :-( I nursed it along for a while but then by mile 9 it was just too painful on every step. I thought about doing the final 3 miles and just felt it would be stupid. So only 9.5 miles - not even as far as last week :-(
