Such a shame, it's such a friendly event (and my last chance to nab any points in the club series - no AG trophy for me again this year ION, I've been for a swim, and this time I felt I was getting back some rhythm to my front crawl. I'll never be anything but a slow swimmer, but it just felt 'better'. And the man has just been to clean/service/sweep our log burner and chimney. The CO problem arose because the flue was almost completely encrusted with tar/solid soot. We shouldn't turn the fire down so low in future because, having a tall house, the flue gets too cold and the soot particles don't rise but settle low in the flue. Glad to have an answer and solution!

Went for a walk this afternoon instead in the rain, luckily I got back before it started getting really nasty out there. I’m currently snuggled under a blanket.

After a few phonecalls, I got the room - which is a delux king with spa access. Would be rude not to. I put in 1km in the tiny pool but I can't be doing with sitting around by log fires and mood music. Loads of turbulence on the flight has triggered back niggles which I am hoping stretching, the swim and a good night's sleep in delux king bed will sort out. 2 embassy receptions to survive first. Sucks to be me 😂

And because our kitchen is quite chilly after the last couple of days cold weather, there is condensation on the outside of the windows 😳
