And though I did manage a lot fewer walking breaks (in fact only one, on the second pebble hairpin bend) and three sub 10 miles I'm still a long way from the magic sub 30. Sigh.

RRR-CAZ 🇬🇧 To clarify there was no chip mat at the start, only one at the finish. So timing was from the gun for all runners, not when individuals crossed the start line. I also had a storming run (for me) at parkrun this morning 28.01, my fastest 5k for 15 years!

If the race don’t give that then I think Garmin time is 100% fair. It does a social good too otherwise anyone aiming for a PB would be pushing to the front at the start and causing chaos.
