ITG 🇮🇸
This is a marathon that was cancelled TWICE last year because of Covid. Most of last year's sign-ups are still registered plus presumably some new ones. There is a half and a 10k. They start at different times but registration, start and end is all in the same place and you all get a ticket to the hot baths. NOT THE TIME to be expanding events. If anything, they should have closed registration early. But no, I guess they are trying to recover their losses from last year. I'm so frustrated! It's such a beautiful run that used to be a community event but is more and more commercialised :'( Oh, and you can guarantee there won't be more prizes; they will just spread out the existing prizes even thinner. (No women's prizes last time, just overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd and age group medals.) |

Oh ITG how very vexing  I don't think I'll be moving much off the sofa for the rest of the day - ran from Budleigh Salterton to Exmouth and back along the SWCP this morning. Ten miles in total, very up and downy Really good though

We took a rest day yesterday and did a 7 mile breezy fresh (ie cold and windy, although sunny) walk round Keyhaven saltmarshes. And sampled our first pub beers this year. Pics here (quite a few!) - you may need tea or wine. photos.app.goo.gl Today was back to the forest proper ... Miles are chugging along, just ahead of the black bar, helped I think, by that Castles challenge as well. |
