Helegant
Good evening. I didn't have a camera to hand but on my (tr-la!) run/walk this morning I went through the local meadow which has very high grass and wildflowers. A six foot wide swathe has been cut for paths, and I disturbed a deer :-)

So it was double bonus day - 1) I ran! and 2) the company was great :-)

There is also a third - I went round to Sproglet's garden today for the first time and chatted with her and my grandsons. Even the two-year old knows not to go near people so he kept running to around two metres away, shouting hello and returning to his play. The four year old started to sneak towards me for a hug (soooo tempting) but we were both sensible and when I saw what he was doing he walked away.

One of the neighbours watched me out of her window the whole time I was there!

It’s not being able to hug I miss the most. Glad you got a run and good to see you are feeling better :-)

Turtlemama
Bless you Helegant xx. The turtle has seen my parents twice during lockdown. Once when they came to pick up shopping I'd done for them (they sat in the extension and we talked from the kitchen) and last week a socially distanced picnic in the park. She knows to keep distance and not hug, no matter how hard, to keep them safe. Yet she can also explain she loves them regardless x

My nephews (15 and 14) said it was harder seeing my parents up close without being able to hug them than not seeing them at all.

Glad you saw your family Helegant. It’s so hard at the minute. Can’t imagine how tough it is on the littler ones

First 20 mins of non- stop running completed today! So happy with that 👍🏻

River run this evening, hot and busy and no cygnets yet but still lovely. Actually I love seeing so many people out enjoying the river when usually they’d be doing something else
