Since when did having your home extension finished count as essential construction? Been kept awake by noisy, drilling, sweaty builders. Not amused.
Added to which TP has just told me his company are forcing people to use their annual leave for 2 weeks over Easter. So even when this all blows over, we won't be able to do anything nice since he won't have the leave. So fkn angry! (at his company, not at the current situation). He's been like a bear with a sore head since WFH, grumpy and irritable. At work we're waiting for the CV cases to be replaced by domestic assaults any day soon!

Back at home - which is a relief. Not quite up and running with all systems but have been assured that the rest can be done by our IT support now that I've left my PC on. City centre was a ghost town, but locally there is still more traffic than I'd expect. Mr AL is off delivering food parcels with a local charity.

Sorry about that TM :-(

I'm sad to say you're not the first person I've heard talking about the potential for domestic abuse rates to start to rise :-(

No, I think there must be a real danger of that TM. Sorry about TP too - let's hope the government give some clearer guidance on how they'll help companies so that this sort of thing isn't too widespread.

Unfortunately this crisis seems to be bringing out the worst in people, and a lot of employers are being shown up for what they really care about.

Just back from a shopping trip (got some loo roll!), only one person being irritating in the shop (a lady who had a crappy scarf over her mouth, felt the need to moan about everything and just a general pain in the arse), but then straight onto the local trails and ran 10 miles. Was absolutely lovely. :-) Not as fit as I would like to be but weight is 5 lb down from January, so heading in the right direction.

Ok that's better. Been for a 6m run in the sun. Normally I'd be moaning it was too hot and I was feeling unfit, but today, warm sun on my face (due to shifts I literally haven't seen sunshine or daylight since last Thursday and I think it was raining then anyway) and fresh air was lovely. Loads of people out "exercising" but hey, if this makes the nation healthier that's a bonus.
TP has finished work for now and agreed to have a break and do a bit later. He picked the turtle up. We've been sitting in the garden, me in bra and running shorts, in the sun, having a drink and the turtle doing her homework.

The world is still crappy but for the next 2 days I can ignore it.

Actually I wonder if employers are not understanding the government's advice properly re employment arrangements. Son 2 messaged me yesterday to ask what 'furlough' meant because, I believe, that's the word used and he'd never come across it before. It might be worth taking up with TP's employers to check that their action is really what the government means?

My boss called me, told me to continue working from home tomorrow and then they’d review the situation after that! Maybe they think it’s 2 days lockdown?

I could absolutely do my work from home but still waiting to be issued with a laptop grrr I feel I am going against advice by going into work.... I am on annual leave tomorrow, just hope I have a laptop on Thursday.
