Afternoon 😊. Just about to get up and run before the school run. Lacked motivation a bit this month due to work stress, but will at least creep over the 50 mile line. I'm hoping that the fact I've entered another half in May will motivate me enough to start running a bit more regularly again.

Hi all. I've been impossibly busy (mainly work) this week, so have popped into the thread a few times but not really posted. Hope op went well RRR, and hope move goes well tmrw MM. Very jealous about going to see the Kaiser Chiefs.

In terms of January mileage, I've had my highest ever - and my first ever January going over 100 miles :-) My final January run was a pretty hideous hill session, but it's done and I have easy running scheduled for tmrw and Sunday. So all good.

Oh and I have no internet. I rang up to talk about renewal of my broadband contract but told them they had to give me a new router before I renewed - the current router is really flaky. I was then put through to their faults dept who ran some diagnostics and agreed with my diagnosis. Unfortunately it seems that running the diagnostics has broken the router completely! Hopefully a new one will arrive tmrw or Monday. I think we're in for a weekend of moaning from ds (I'm secretly amused about how much he's likely to wail about it).

Well done runners, whether you smashed your January target or just got started.

I began strong but dropped a bit when I went to Scotland and have now collapsed in lergy. Fingers crossed for a better start to February.

Sorry failed to keep up came back from Skiing to over 500 posts, and have not caught up all this week. Life just seems to get in the way of doing everything we want. Grandson No 1 was due on Monday, he has decided that he is comfortable where he is.

I don't suppose his Mum is comfortable, though.

Impressed by all the high January mileages.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
