Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I would be stressed too ITG. I hope you get the results very soon.

Went out just as the rain started, thought about turning back but didn't and was rewarded with some wonderful black clouds/sun/waves combos :-)

I called the surgery and explained the situation (literally shaking). She was very nice and said she would look into it and call me back. I fear they've lost the test but now I have very little time to get another one.

Not quite hallelujah but half-way there! I have a message (4 words long) to say the test is negative. I've screen-shotted and will print it. It is not a medical certificate but will hopefully do if they cannot get me a proper certificate by tomorrow.

What a bloody STRESS! I'm sure I only got that because I called and asked.

Hopefully the screen shot will be enough ITG. Travelling is stressful enough without the added bother.

A lovely sunny run this morning. Bit further than planned, but an enjoyable 7.50 miles. Was meant to be raining all week so has been a bonus.

I realise the millions of ways in which this problem reeks of privilege but I am still stressed out of my wits. I can't take a pill to calm down because I have an online 2 hour conference panel and I'll fall asleep.

I'll be too nervous to take it afterwards as well in case I sleep in and miss the flight.

You laugh or you collapse in your blanket fort and wait for it all to go away.

Don't brush it off as privilege, ITG. Your stress is real, and you are being affected by it both mentally and physically. I hope it resolves well for you.
