Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Morning all. Rainy in Chesterfield this morning. Just about to go out for a run with GF. She's been back at work this week but has Wednesdays off so we're doing a 4-5 mile loop together and then she might carry on for a long one. My hamstring is a bit tight, self inflicted from volleying pine cones the other day.

Run round the village this morning

Volley pine cones sounds a very 700 thread way to inflict an injury ;)

Eyes fell out at 50 quid glass of house wine.

Macaroni and cheese is the proper translation. Italians would not say: macaroni formaggio but macaroni e formaggio.
Or more probably macaroni e formaggi as they'd never settle for only one piffling cheese in the sauce.

Nice Linds, :) well done for the early shift LG and take care of that knee LD, don't break youself, again. (Ooo, all the Ls!)

*shakes pompoms* for the RTTS people. :)

I was going to go for a walk with a friend this morning but cried off because of the rain. The rain's mostly stayed away so far :-p so I got out on my bike for a bit. I may go for a run or a walk later but my legs feel quite heavy today.

If I saw a menu like that I'd like to tell them to FRO with all that pretentious claptrap. What on earth is "hand cut macaroni" all about?

What it says: hand cut pasta rather than machine cut.

I'm very lucky that my GF is a very good chef/cook but hates pretentious food.

We had a nice run, 4.5 miles - a route that goes through the main park in Chesterfield and finishes by the canal. Saw some of my favourite ducks - Ella, and the three ducklings (who are all growing so quickly) duck :-)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
