ITG - one of my daughters works for Nottingham Trent, and I'll be up there for a weekend shortly to help her move house. (other daughter was at the other Nottingham Uni for 3 years, and we only ever did day trips, so never stayed there)

Star! We missed you particularly around your birthday loved cack handed highest mileage multi trip posts Boo to migraines C9 is working herself up to trip and delighted with new kit opportunities it offers she’s got a lovely Polartec top from decathlon. I still think 9 is too young for the combo of freezing weather, being tested to your limits, permanent company and no home contact but you lot have cheered me and who knows - maybe end Feb will be very mild indeed. There is a good chance she’ll come back bouncy so we are all rooting for that

I should be there on 6th March if all goes well. But I am just flying in on 5th and back 7th.
Am I right in thinking best way is Gatwick, then train? I can do a single change at St Pancras or go via Victoria and get tube. (I think I need to do this on the way as there is a "replacement bus service" on my dates.) Is it better to come from Heathrow?

[Train is 188 quid from Heathrow but 30.50 from Gatwick! Why?]

Star! You're back Sorry 2017 was a crap year for you, I hope 2018 is infinitely better.
Our primary school trip was Isle of Wight in Year 6. Nine does seem very young, but I hope she loves it Seren. T1 and T2 went to Felixstowe for their school trips, staying in the same building I stayed in for Brownies weekends.

ITG - the train from Heathrow to central London is stupidly expensive, that's probably why. If you have an option to fly into a midlands based airport it may be worth exploring. Gatwick is South of London, Nottingham is much further North.

(The closest northern airport I could get to is Manchester - but more likely Edinburgh - a bit too far!)
