Morning
Stressful time over the last few days took MIL home Sunday evening to find her partner collapsed Mrs P and I performed CPR whilst waiting for the Ambulance crew to arrive, and they worked on him for 1/2 an hour before calling it a da.
He was 96 and had only given up full time work 5 years ago, they had been together 32 years, having got together just before mrsP and I got married.

In better news DS 2 will be proposing this week, when his GF and he go on holiday (hope she is not hiding on here somewhere!)

How terrible, photoset. I hope the arrangements go smoothly.

I much prefer your "better news" :)

Another shocking migraine. It seems the medication to sort out THAT problem is now giving me migraines. Not sure what is worse. At least with menstruation, I have a rough idea when it is going to hit. Fortunately seeing the ob&gyn dr today who will hopefully have some miracle cure.

Terrible Phil, but Dipps is right, it would have been awful for mil to deal with that on her own :-) Sending kind thoughts to all your family heart
Congrats (I hope) to ds and gf.

I had a run fail yesterday (didn't quite leave the house!). Will try again today. I am being tonked at WSW this week (about time, tbh).

Oh Phil that must have been very distressing for all of you - look after yourself and Mrs P as well as your MiL xx

I shouldn't go on about my foot when other people have much bigger and more important things to worry about so I won't and you can kick me if I do :-) (But really I want to say :-( )

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
