medal Kim!

I've heard Berlin is very fast - but I guess only for the fast people at the front, not hoi polloi.

Kim one of our club members, a regular marathoner, has posted that he had a very similar experience and ended feeling that he never wants to do another marathon :-( Very well done for getting to the end in a sprint finish!

Excellent determined running, Kim.
It’s a shame you went all that way for an underwhelming experience :(

Thanks folks. That makes me feel better LD if that makes sense. There was 7 of us running and all of us suffered in the second half of the race.

I might give it another bash in the future. Everyone I spoke to beforehand only had good things to say about Berlin. (But they’ve not done London so maybe I have overly high expectations!)

Good running Kim, in what sounds like less than ideal conditions, definitely deserves some bunting

Hello - I am afraid I can't face reading the 200 or so posts I seem to have missed. Very busy weekend socialising in Cambridge at a college reunion. No running as I was too knackered when I got home.
What have I missed??

Well done Kim, like I said before Kudos for doing a marathon and especially in that conditions.

First run in over a week and so nice and steady with one of the running club group for company which was nice.

a good, non-coughing jog to crossfit and back. Also, no longer shittest in crossfit! There are some new girls who are even worse than me!

Well done Kim for getting through it - sounds grim but mild, soggy UK marathons will be a doddle by comparison.

5 and a bit twilight miles - lovely and mild for autumn but I swallowed a dozen bugs as a result. And it's dark at 8! :-o

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
