Morning, everyone. Hope everyone's bearing up OK in the circumstances, ITB (plus PB's toe).

The heatwave has officially buggered off oop north - I'm wearing my winter overcoat! Rest day yesterday so a few, probably soggy miles when I get home from the salt mine...

Morning! I need to get out and run in the rain - can't wait for the rain to stop as our friends arrive for the weekend later. At least I won't overheat!

Hope the gout settles down soon MB.

Hugs for all those that need them this morning (from a distance for you AL - hope its a quick one and your soon recovering)

Yesterdays deep tissue massage hurt lots (first one since rib injury and after ride 100) feel quite achy and sore today and put paid to first outing in kayak last night.

Need to pack up for first camping trip in the new van tonight as heading off straight from work tomorrow. Also BC conference call tonight so looks like no running will occur.

Morning All

Been for a little run. I have the tail end of a similar bug to AL so can't see me doing much of anything else for the rest of the day.

Congrats, Mave! bunting

We are still waiting to hear the blood results for the boy (and were too shocked at the time to ask when we might expect them). No more news about Genova beyond what you see in the news. Today is the second day of mourning in the city. All our lot safe and well, thank goodness. Our inlaws went off to Corsica on holiday on Monday evening so at least they are away from it all for a few days.

Six very wet miles done but it was enjoyable. I'm sad the lovely weather has finished but this is so much easier to run in!

The rain appears to have washed away all my energy - and I didn't have much to start with!

Hope AL and Bint feel better soon!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
