For one thing, after a tough 10k race on Monday I was feeling a bit down about my running but a 5k is such a do-able distance I was able to make a decent effort. For another, it was a unique event and there was a nice group of clubmates running to make it very social. Also a great medal: And finally , because most of my clubmates did the 10k, I got the for me, very rare experience of finishing ahead of them and could cheer and clap them in, which they do so often for me WAVA could have been better - 67.98 - but all in all, a good evening

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
